The Yasmin concerpetion pill?

mum put me on the pill so i took the pill when i got my period which it was last friday and that was in a green scetion and then the next day i took the one of the mormals after the green section my friends say its right but i normal have my period for a week and its still going why is it doing it my friends say that its just ajusting to the pill is it?
