Why is it that Scooter Libby is only getting a 2 year jail sentense, and can decide when he goes to jail?

His actions could have cost the life of a CIA Agent and her husband. This was treason, and he should get life. Mr. Libby was doing Carl Rove's, Chaney's, and GW's bidding, so why aren't they being held accountable too? Is it because of their money and power over democracy, honor, truth, and justice? Are they above the law? Isn't this like unto dictatorial radical fundamentalism? How can we get back to and preserve our democracy?
