I'm going back out with my ex && things are akward..?

My ex boyfriend dumped me because he tought I was too clingy && then he asked me out again. We've been going out for a little over a week && things have been really akward. The first time we went out I had already kissed him by now. This time, we don't talk, hang out, or spend any time together. The first time we went out, he would call me every night. Now, he doesn't call me at all! I don't get what happened. How do I make things unakward without being clingy again?
